Obi has launched a mid-range smartphone, the Obi Boa S503 in India. Obi Boa S503 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM). Obi Mobiles is promoted by the Ex-Apple chief John Sculley. Obi in July launched its first smartphone in India, the Obi Octopus S520, at Rs. 11,990.
Obi Boa S503 features a 5-inch HD TFT IPS display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582V/X) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It includes 4GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.
On camera front, the device comes with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and Samsung CMOS sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Obi has various connectivity options including Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, and 3G.
