Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex has launched its new smartphone Aqua Power. Intex has included a mammoth 4000 mAh battery in the phone that is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 500 hours of standby time.
Intex Aqua Power comes with 5-inch FWVGA display. The smartphone is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone also features 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and dual-SIM support. Despite packing in a huge battery, the phone is quite slim at 9.3mm. Intex claims that the phone can be fully charged in 2.5 hours.
On camera front, Intex Aqua power has an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera. Intex has included many features such as Panorama shot, face beauty, live photo mode, smile shot, HDR, voice capture, and face detection options. On the connectivity front, the Aqua Power offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. It measures 141×71.9×9.3mm.
The Aqua Power runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and will be getting Lollipop update around April next year. The smartphone support USB-OTG function and can act as a power bank for other smartphones. Intex has also included pedometer in the phone, so you can keep a track of the number of steps taken, calories burnt and more.
Intex has priced the Aqua Power smartphone at Rs. 8,444. The smartphone is now available to buy from retail stores in India and can be purchased in White, Black, Blue and Grey colour options. With these features, Aqua power will compete with Gionee Marathon M3, Lenovo P780, Micromax Canvas Power, Lenovo S860, Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro, and Xolo Q3000.
