Quick Pre Requisites:
- All the data in your LG G Pad 8.3 GPE should be backed up which includes all the data like images, local files and all other downloaded data present in your device.
- Enable the USB Debugging mode in your device from Settings so as to make sure that the device gets connected with the computer successfully. Additionally, you also need to make sure that the drivers are installed in your computer.

Procedure to update LG G Pad 8.3 GPE with Lollipop 5.0 Android OS:
- Download Android 5.0 Android OS package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, you need to extract the same to a folder in your computer.
- Navigate to the folder where you have placed the firmware file and right click in the open area to press “Shift + Right Click” and then select “Open command prompt here” and choose the option.
- Now, you need to enter the below mentioned command in the command prompt to check on whether the device is connected to computer or not.
- Now, once you enter the above mentioned command, you will get the device ID in return which will indicate that all the drivers are updated. Now, you need to enter the below mentioned command in your computer,
- Now, once you see the android logo, you need to press the Volume Up and power button and release the same after which the device will reboot in the stock recovery.
- With the help of Volume keys, you need to select “Apply Update from ADB” and enter the below mentioned command;
- Once the update is done successfully, you need to select “reboot system now”. Check the firmrware version from the path Settings > About Tablet where the firmware version will be mentioned as Android 5.0 Lollipop.
